“At a young age, I fell in love with basketball. I wanted to go to college, get a degree, and then go into the NBA. I knew my mother couldn't afford to pay my tuition, so I promised her I would get a scholarship. I worked hard athletically and academically to earn that scholarship, and used basketball as a tool to get into college.
Thanks to the support of alumni, parents, and friends of The George Washington University, I was able to keep my promise to my mother. Today at GW, I am a sociology major, a member of the men’s basketball team, and a Peer Educator in the Center for Alcohol and other Drug Education. After college, my goal is to play professionally, whether in the NBA or overseas. And after my professional basketball career, I want to become a social worker.
Because of GW, I have become a better person, a better student, and a better athlete. GW has shaped me into a leader, a quality that will help me wherever I go – on and off the court."
