“Education is the civil rights issue of our time. It provides the foundation for a just society. Vibrant economies, scientific discoveries, productive citizens, and caring communities all rest on this foundation. Thank you for partnering with us in this noble work.”

“We have hardly begun to apprehend the fundamental necessity and infinite value of investing in education, or to appreciate the immense advantages to be derived from the additional expenditure for it.”

Charles William Eliot
President of Harvard University,
1869 - 1909
Visionary behind the founding of HGSE

Since 1920, the Harvard Graduate School of Education has remained at the forefront in addressing the challenges posed by the changing landscape of education. By connecting practice, policy, and research, we help the world fully realize the transformative power of education. Accomplishing this ambitious goal requires resources. While we value each and every gift, we heavily rely on loyal donors who step up as philanthropic leaders and make leadership level gifts to the HGSE Fund.

As a past donor to the HGSE Fund, please consider placing HGSE at the top of your philanthropic priorities as we enter the 2010 fiscal year with a gift at the Charles William Eliot Society (CWE) level. CWE Society members provide the most critical and flexible support for HGSE: resources that can be used where HGSE needs it most. By choosing to make a significant annual donation, donors express and sustain their commitment to HGSE's mission, values, and future.

Please join us in pursuing our mission to prepare leaders in education and to generate knowledge to improve student opportunity, achievement, and success.
