The Green Terra committee - a group of faculty, staff and students on campus - is working to reduce the College's carbon footprint. We've set an aggressive goal - to create a plan by the end of this year toward making the College carbon-neutral. Through a combination of recycling, energy-saving strategies, sustainability initiatives, and support from alumni like you, we are up to the challenge. Research shows that removing trays leads to less wasted food, and less energy, water and detergent consumption to clean them! During 10 weeks of Recyclemania, the College recycled 26,430 lbs of paper, cardboard, bottles and cans. That's 14.13 lbs per person!
