“We launched our first e-solicitation May 17, 2005. As of May 1, we were only 8 donors ahead of the prior year. As of May 31, we were 254 donors ahead of the prior year! If we look at the individual histories, there are multiple examples of alumni opening the e-solicitation and then three days later we received a check, or a day later they made a credit card gift via phone, or an hour later they went back to our web site and made a donation.
