Today, amidst the celebration of Rice Homecoming & Reunion 2008, Rice launches its $1 billion fundraising effort, the Centennial Campaign.

The Centennial Campaign creates an opportunity for all of us in the extended Rice family to reaffirm and intensify our commitment to Rice. We have set ambitious goals, both in raising funds and in inviting the broadest possible participation. With $500 million dollars raised to date, many generous alumni and friends already have made incredible contributions and have provided significant momentum. When we are successful, we will have generated the passion and the means for Rice to confront the world’s most pressing challenges.
