Your gifts make us better than ever
Teachers at Rochester School 58 participating in Warner’s Urban Teacher Leadership Academy (UTLA) explored the areas where their students live to better understand poverty issues affecting them. The UTLA requires a two-year commitment from practicing teachers, who develop, implement, and assess an improvement project at their own schools, under the guidance of Warner faculty.

Your gifts make us better than ever
The 2008 Candidates for master’s degrees in counseling and human development presented over 20 thesis projects, which dealt with diverse problems such as preventing cyber-bullying in schools, successful counseling methods for ethnic minorities, and how sports psychology principles can help the student athlete.

Warner recently presented well-deserved degrees to top-notch professionals in education and human development. And just like you have done, these Warner alumni will change the face of education while working as teachers, educational administrators, counselors and/or researchers. You can help the Warner School continue to be a place where individuals can pursue their passions and realize their potential by making a gift now to the Annual Fund. And if you make your gift by June 30, it will count toward this year’s goal.

With the help of alumni like you who recognize the importance of an Annual Fund and are committed to “giving back” to Warner, we have increased the number of students and faculty by 70% since 2000. Scholarship and grant support for students enables us to bolster our capacity to do more with all aspects of our mission to transform education. And these accomplishments have made all the difference. The Warner School is part of a vibrant community–collaborating across disciplines, professions, and constituencies– working to improve education and support positive human development.

As our nation continues to grapple with shortages of qualified educators, Warner feels a responsibility to the schools and organizations we serve. And we need increased support from individuals like you, to continue to attract the most promising students, scholars, researchers and practitioners.

If you have already made a gift, thank you!
