In 2006, 98% of Rochester-trained candidates passed their nurse licensing exam the first time. 93% of our graduates go into bedside nursing.

Making a difference
Rochester provides ten different nursing degree programs, including a PhD program that just graduated its 100th student.

Making a difference
In September, Rochester will enroll its first students in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice program. Students in this pioneering program will be equipped to address and impact nursing policy issues.

During your education at the University of Rochester School of Nursing, you learned to make a difference in patient care. Now we ask you to make a difference for a new generation of nurses with a gift to the School of Nursing Annual Fund. And if you make your gift by June 30, it will count toward this year’s goal. Since 1925, Rochester has been at the forefront of nursing education, research, and practice. Your annual fund support will:

  • Provide scholarships and financial aid which are essential to attract and retain the best students
  • Enhance educational programs
  • Fund the creation of a Simulation Center with mannequins and technical equipment required for additional clinical training
  • Support technology upgrades
  • Support new research initiatives
Health care technology has leapt ahead, but it will never replace quality patient care. Donations from alumni like you will help the School of Nursing continue to turn out the best qualified nurses in Rochester, across the nation, and around the globe.

Remember what’s important.
