Dear Classmate,

The world has changed so much since we were students at Tulane 40 years ago. Who could ever forget the student protests on campus over important issues like desegregation, civil rights and the Vietnam War? The friendships we made back then changed our outlooks in countless ways and often endured long after graduation. In four decades, the university has erected many new buildings, but it has always been the students who give our alma mater its lasting character. The Tulane we vividly remember from the late sixties still exists – in us!

To date, our reunion class gift totals $164,148 from 167 of our classmates achieving 55% of our class goal at $300,000. Tulane made us what we are today, and it is important to remember that the university is a focal point for rebuilding New Orleans and remains integral to the progress of the city. I hope you will join me in generously contributing to this year’s class gift to keep our university visibly strong. Contributions made to the Tulane Fund until the end of the calendar year will be counted toward the class of 1970 gift. You may designate your gift to any of the schools or college you choose through the Tulane Fund, where it will go to work immediately to support students, faculty and essential programs. Please consider giving back in a way that appropriately commemorates the 40th anniversary of our graduation.

You can make a donation by calling 504-865-5794 or 888-265-7576, or visiting our class webpage at reunions.tulane.edu. Details and video footage from last year’s celebration are available at the reunion website reunions.tulane.edu. Mark your calendars and please join us!

Sincerely,
