Dear Classmate,

Our freshman year started with a bang when we entered Newcomb College and Tulane University just days before Hurricane Carla struck the Texas coast. Remember wading through water up to our calves in stockinged feet and woolen slacks? We grew up so much during our unforgettable undergraduate years in New Orleans. At the end of our freshman year, the Bay of Pigs invasion had us glued to our dormitory televisions. By the time we were juniors, the aftermath of the Kennedy assassination brought an end to our age of innocence. Tulane and New Orleans in the early 1960s offered us a living laboratory, and we all delighted in the joys of hearing Pete Fountain at The French Quarter Inn, pairing off at fraternity parties and quarter-dollar beers. The Tulane we vividly remember from the early sixties was a magical and transformative place none of us have ever forgotten.

Please consider giving back in a way that appropriately commemorates the 45th anniversary of our graduation. And we can’t wait to reminisce with you in October!
